Office Sales / Parts Desk
Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused individual to join our Office Sales and Parts Desk team. You will be the technical backbone for our local trade customers, taking incoming calls, identifying precise heavy-goods vehicle parts, and providing rapid quotes to keep their fleets moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling high volumes of incoming sales calls from trade accounts, workshops, and fleet operators.
- Accurately identifying commercial vehicle parts (HGV, LCV, Trailer) using electronic cataloging systems.
- Generating quotes, checking stock availability, and processing live sales orders through our internal database.
- Providing front-of-house support at the trade counter for walk-in customers.
- Sourcing non-stock special order items directly from manufacturing partners.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working in a Motor Factor, dealership parts department, or commercial vehicle workshop.
- Familiarity with automotive cataloging systems (such as Autocat, TecDoc, or similar).
- Strong IT skills and the ability to navigate inventory software quickly.
- An excellent telephone manner and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- A proactive approach to upselling complementary parts and workshop consumables.
